VAC-5S

VAC-5S blast media recovery system is an electrically operated vacuum suction system, specially developed for use with mineral blast media, which usually cause higher dust formation. VAC-5S blast media recovery system is equipped with an integrated high-performance cartridge filter with pulse-jet cleaning, a stand-alone dust pre-separator SC-500 with manual emptying, an abrasive storage tank for automatic refilling of the blast pot (mounted directly on the Contracor Z-200 series blast pot), floor hopper, suction hoses.

Application

The VAC-5S Abrasive Recovery System is specifically designed to recycle reusable mineral blast media for reprocessing and reuse. The blasting media is sucked in by the vacuum suction system via a stand-alone dust pre-separator SC-500 and the blasting media suitable for reuse is separated from the unusable medium. The reusable blast media is now sucked into the abrasive storage tank where it is separated from the remaining dust and contaminants by an air flow. The abrasive storage tank sits directly above the blast pot, into which the cleaned blast media falls and can be used again immediately. With a continuous re-use of recycled blasting media, economical operation is ensured, with the system enabling recovery of up to 4 tons of mineral blasting media per hour over a distance of up to 10 metres. Despite its high performance, it is a compact system which, due to its small size, offers a very high level of flexibility and is ideal for applications with limited space. An optional hand-held suction tube with support wheels and handle allows flexible use in areas of the blast room that are difficult to access.
